This digital mixed media piece really elevated my understanding of many of the blending features that digital art offers. Contrary to media arts, the attention to Grey values, inverted values and artificial light are not often used, whereas in digital art it is arguably more prominent than natural or traditional lighting. This understanding I think will help me better balance the light and grey values in traditional art as well as digital art because it’s sharpening my eye for color and my understanding of colour theory and lighting.
