Blockism Still-Life

This acrylic painting is meant to mimic the colours and strokes often found in the pre-cubist art style of artists like Cezanne. I learned about this painting technique in one of my art classes while enrolled in the ACAM program at my high school. This painting was completed as part of a school project and I had decided to challenge myself by using a dragon fruit as my still life subject instead of one of the apples or pears the school provided. I am beyond proud of the result of this painting and am very grateful for the insight into art history and skill I gained from this class.
