This painting was a study using a monochrome palette and also used a reference from the internet. My biggest challenge while making this digital painting was capturing light and shadow without being able to differ from my hue. Many of my paintings in this portfolio follow this theme of learning more about light, shadow, grayscales and hues because that is what I have been trying to improve in my art most recently. I think all this practice has really elevated my understanding of colour and will definitely impact my art in the future.
