This painting was done as a study into colour matching and using different techniques to capture the shape of a 3D object. The digital piece includes both the reference and the painting and it shows my skills and accuracy in visual reconstruction of an image. This study was fun to do because I got to experiment with new painting techniques, brush styles and ways of capturing light which taught me a lot about how all of these new techniques capture slightly different distinct elements of an object.
